Communication is to express our feeling/deliver something to other party verbally or by action. We knew whether the communication is effective by their feedback to what we have said.
There are several elements require to communicate effectively such as 1. The surrounding(free from noise and the person that we want to talk to not in a rush for example,so that they can accept our message more efficiently) 2. The language that we use to communicate(should be understand by the person we want to communicate) 3. Not include too many input at the same time(we must really organize what are we going to deliver) 4.Use a variable tones so that it would makes more interesting(means more feeling). 5. Whatever we want to deliver put some evidence or fact that would makes the recipient be sure to what are we want to say to them. 6. We must make as simple phrases yet didn't loose the means so it wouldn't be unforgettable by the recipient(clarify it without what people always said 'ada udang sebalik batu'..)
Sorry for my bad english..hope you understand what i am trying to say..maybe this would be one of non effective communication.. =D
Communication is an interaction between two or more people to conveying information and ideas, expressing emotional and feeling to create shared understanding.
If our conversation is effective, the listener will still focused and listen carefully what are the point in our conversation. She/he will give a good respond or solution and also advises for our problem. Also, she/he will try seeing in others point of view before give a respond. The listener also can understand us ever if we used allegorical language.
The element for effective communication is:
1.Attention; stay focus in conversation is the important element in the conversation. If the listener was not forces, you’ll feel like you are talking alone.
2.Feedback; every person who convey their problem or feeling always hope the conversation have the feedback. Feedback will reduce the burden.
3.Truss, openness and honesty; to get the best feedback from the conversation, honesty is needed. When openness is present, supported by trust, the communication usually goes much deeper and becomes more meaningful.
4.Environment; the surrounding is important to make the conversation is effective. The quiet and cozy place is the best place to make the listener stay focused in the conversation.
Communication is a process whereby meaning is defined and shared between living organisms. Communication requires a sender, a message, and an intended recipient, although the receiver need not be present or aware of the sender's intent to communicate at the time of communication; thus communication can occur across vast distances in time and space. Communication requires that the communicating parties share an area of communicative commonality. The communication process is complete once the receiver has understood the sender.
If our communication is effective to the listener,we must even be prepared to let the receiver alter or modify the message in ways that make it more acceptable to the receiver. Otherwise, it may not be understood or it may not be accepted, or it may simply be given lip service and ignored.
Elements of communicate effectively :
1. Sender The sender plays the specific role of initiating communication. To communicate effectively, the sender must use effective verbal as well as nonverbal techniques. Speaking or writing clearly, organizing your points to make them easy to follow and understand, maintaining eye contact, using proper grammar and giving accurate information are all essential in the effectiveness of your message. You will lose your audience if it becomes aware of obvious oversights on your part. The sender should have some understanding of who the receiver is in order to modify the message to make it more relevant. In the basic communication model, the sender is Point A in the diagram.
2. Receiver The receiver means the party to whom the sender transmits the message. A receiver can be one person or an entire audience of people. In the basic communication model, the receiver, labeled Point B, is directly across from the speaker. The receiver can also communicate verbally and nonverbally. The best way to receive a message is to listen carefully, sitting up straight and making eye contact. Don’t get distracted or try to do something else while you're listening. Nodding and smiling as you listen to the sender speak demonstrate that you understand the message.
3. Message The message may be the most crucial element of effective communication. A message can come in many different forms, such as an oral presentation, a written document, an advertisement or just a comment. In the basic communication model, the arrow from Point A to Point B represents the sender's message traveling to the receiver. The message isn't necessarily what the sender intends it to be. Rather, the message is what the receiver perceives the message to be. As a result, the sender must not only compose the message carefully, but also evaluate the ways in which the message can be interpreted.
4. Channel The message travels from one point to another via a channel of communication. In the diagram, the channel sits between the sender and receiver, Points A and B. Many channels, or types, of communication exist, from the spoken word to radio, television, an Internet site or something written, like a book, letter or magazine.
5. Feedback The last element of effective communication, feedback, describes the receiver's response or reaction to the sender's message. The receiver can transmit feedback through asking questions, making comments or just supporting the message that was delivered. Feedback helps the sender to determine how the receiver interpreted the message and how it can be improved. In the basic communication model, the receiver transmits feedback from Point B back to the sender at Point A. As a result the model has a cyclical appearance, as the original receiver becomes the sender and vice versa.
